How do I think like a millionaire?

I’ve been told that the key to success in any area is to study the subject and understand the strategic patterns that are used by those who are already successful in that area. This same rule applies to earning wealth. I’ve taken that advice to heart, and I’ve noticed some specific behavioral patterns in those that are not only rich, but also have emotional, physical, and relational health.
The key is this: you have to have the mindset of a millionaire in order to become a millionaire!
So what is the millionaire mindset? Well, Ginger from Girls Just Wanna Have Funds has created a list that should get you started:
- Believe in Yourself
Have you ever heard of the “Law of Attraction”? Well, many self-made millionaires believed that they will become rich, focused on it, and moved toward it making that dream of theirs a reality. - Have Passion
Love what it is that you are doing. If you are passionate about something, you will be a lot more successful at it and it will also bring you joy which is another form of wealth. - Thinking SMART
Set goals that are Specific, Measureable, Achieveable, Relevant and Time Bound. S-M-A-R-T. See, you’re a little bit smarter already! - Education from Experience
See obstacles as challenges. Think of failures as stepping stones and use them as learning tools to propel your forward. Have a goal to increase your intelligence, both financial and practical, with each action you take and each goal you achieve (successful and unsuccessful). - Waste Not
Be frugal. Don’t spend more than you take in. Only by increasing your cash situation and limiting your expenses so that your inflow exceeds your outflow will you become wealthy and stay wealthy.
This is just a start to getting your mind prepared for the quest for riches that is laid before you. Next we’ll share some tips and exercises for getting in the right mindset.
